The arts and Body-Mind Centering® have always been inextricably linked.  Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen is herself a dancer and a painter.   Many dancers were attracted to her work initially because of the emphasis on understanding the body and the mind in direct, experiential ways.  However, many other types of artists have benefited from studying and incorporating Body-Mind Centering in their work.

Painters, writers, poets, actors, filmmakers, and photographers have all utilized Body-Mind Centering principles in their artworks and performances.  In many cases, the influences are not overtly expressed in the pieces produced but underlie the process involved in creating them.

All the artists who have studied Body-Mind Centering report an evolution in their creative development, which is a direct consequence of their experience with the work.
